WHAT IS CONCRETE?

 

Reinforced concrete is a material used for the construction of civil works, consisting of a mixture of cement, water, sand and aggregates.

They are stone elements, such as gravel, to which is added an armature of steel bars embedded inside and appropriately shaped.

 

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

 

It is still too early to establish what is the average duration of its life.

Theoretically, a good concrete should reach the same age as the rock it is made of, the hardening process continues over time, and it was thought to be impermeable.

 

THE PROBLEM

 

Unfortunately, rainwater can rust the steel bars inside the concrete, causing cracks, swellings and absolutely irreparable damage.

 

THE DISCOVERY

 

Crystals, a very precious raw material, turned out to be able to modify the molecular structure of the concrete making it impermeable.

Through a tested and certified process, it is possible to obtain multiple advantages, for example greater longevity of the product, possibility of throwing against the ground, self-sealing of minor cracks, without problems of infiltration or deterioration, at a cost equivalent to other processes, but with significant savings of time.

The extremely advanced organic component of the product reacts with water and with the non-hydrated particles of cement, forming billions of needle-like crystals.

These crystals grow and migrate through the concrete filling the capillaries and the microscopic voids that otherwise would constitute passages for the water. Cristal MIX raises the process of natural hydration of cement, increasing its compressive strength and drastically reducing plastic shrinkage cracks. The feature that makes Cristal MIX an extraordinarily reliable product is its ability to self-seal over time.

The organic chemical components remain dormant in the concrete and, if cracks and small cracks are formed long after installation, Cristal MIX is reactivated by the penetration of other water.

The new cracks are sealed off autonomously without additional maintenance costs.
